Say cheese!

Last week Sadie had her first photo shoot experience! I just had to share a few of my favorite pictures.

The semester is finally over! I hardly know what to do with myself now. I was running in overdrive all day, everyday. As of May, everything just stopped. What a weird feeling. It is wonderful to just spend time with Sadie and get chores around the house taken care of.

Graduation went very well. Here are a few pictures.

The stole of gratitude went to Alex, who sacrificed lots of time and energy in helping me make it through my last semester.

Since graduation, my sister Megan and Alex's sister Emily have both gotten married. I actually made Megan's wedding cake! I will post pictures of the weddings soon (I promise I will actually do it).

School is almost over!!!

Time has flown by. Sadie is 3 months old and I graduate in one month! I can not wait to be done, even though I am loving my little kindergartners. I am beginning to realize that my major (Early Childhood Education) is an excuse to feed my addiction for trade books. There are just so many great books for children out there! Some of my favorites are "Skippyjon Jones," "Make Way for Ducklings," and books like "Mary had a Little Ham." If you are wanting recommendations for fun books you and your child (or just you) will enjoy, let me know! I've been trying to convince Sadie that books are great, but she just wants to poop and spit-up. Although, she has started to laugh! I'm not talking about just a little giggle, she really laughs. I will have Alex upload a video of her laughing. In the mean time, here are a few photos of our little girl.

During March, all we did was record video of Sadie. I will post a video or two soon and remember to take pictures too!

This is my 4th picture. I was living in Massachusetts as a nanny and the couple in the photo with me are the Andersons. They hosted family home evening each Monday night. This particular picture was taken on Halloween when we had our party. The Andersons are wonderful people and I miss seeing them every week. On a side note, I meet Alex at their house one Monday night and the rest is history.

Our new family!

Mercedes Elizabeth joined our family on December 20th at 1:30 p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 14oz. and was 20 in. long. Both mom and baby are doing well!

She has LOTS of beautiful, straight, blonde hair.

We were so excited to have her home for Christmas!

Daddy gave Mercedes her first bath and she didn't think it was all that fun.

In other news, Alex and I bought a condo! We moved in over Thanksgiving break (which was not a break at all). We love our new place. Although, we do miss being able to call maintenance whenever something needs to be fixed. Our heater was not working and we had to fix it ourselves. Not fun. Oh well, you have to make the leap into home ownership sometime.
